Welcome to our online patient tour!
To help you feel more comfortable during your appointment, we have organized an online guided tour of our office! On the tour you can "meet" Dr. Mang and staff, read about the sophisticated equipment at our office, find out what tests you may need to have, and learn more about the conditions we treat and the advanced ophthalmic procedures we have available.
Start your tour by stepping into our waiting room.

Waiting Room
When you come in for your appointment, you'll sign in and have a seat in our comfortable waiting room. If it's your first time visiting us, you'll need to fill out some paperwork.
Unlike at many offices where patients are directed by hurried, disinterested staff members, when it's time for your appointment Dr. Mang comes in to get you himself. This may seem like an insignificant point to mention, but we feel it's little things like this that set us apart from other ophthalmology practices and represent the personal care and attention patients receive at our office.

Your Eye Exam & Evaluation

Dr. Mang is very friendly and enjoys working one-on one with his patients. He values your input; instead of preaching, he listens carefully to what you have to say. As he takes your medical history, he'll ask what problems you have had in the past, what complaints you have now, and what your goals are for this appointment. After your exams he will combine your information with the test results and make recommendations as to what you should do next.
The eye exam consist of two main tests: refraction and retinal imaging. Together, these give Dr. Mang crucial information about the shape and overall health of your eyes.
Note: Retinal imaging is not part of the free laser vision correction screening. If the patient comes in for a screening only and it is determined that they are a candidate for Laser Vision Correction a retinal exam will be done by Dr. Mang just before the procedure when the eyes are dilated.
CONTINUE TO THE TESTS: Refraction and Optomap Retinal Imaging

After the Evaluation
Based on the results of your refraction and Optomap evaluation, as well as your intentions, Dr. Mang will be able to determine whether you:
- Are a candidate for laser vision correction;
- Can be referred to the optician for glasses or contact lenses;
- Have or may have an eye condition or disease; or
- Are enjoying healthy eyes and clear eyesight.
Occasionally, Dr. Mang discovers a condition or recommends a procedure that he does not personally treat or perform. In these cases he will be happy to refer you to a specialist for followup.
